Qualifications

N.N.E.B Certification
An NNEB diploma in nursery nursing indicates the holder undertook a full time 2-year course covering the ages of 0-7. This is probably the most widely recognised qualification and gives student’s hands on experience in addition to the academic course which covers the physical, social, educational, intellectual and emotional needs of different ages. Other areas of study include health and hygiene, play and first aid.

Paediatric first aid certificate.
To meet the requirements of the national standards, all childminders in England and Wales must pass a first-aid course. In England, the first-aid course must be recognised by Ofsted and the childminder’s local authority. Both myself and both of my daughters have up to date Paediatric first aid certificates,
Since I started childminding I have under taken and achieved my level 3 NVQ in Children’s care, learning and development and Advanced Apprenticeship in Child care. I undertake my own Professional development every year with updates on safe guarding and other areas if and when required or if new knowledge becomes available. I try to keep up with the newest information available.
